The 2008 World Medical Tourism & Global Health Conference featured over 850 attendees from over 45 countries and over 53 exhibitors and sponsors. Out of the 850 attendees, there were over 100 insurance companies and insurance providers, over 400 hospitals, clinics, and governments, and over 100 facilitators. This year’s Annual World Medical Tourism & Global Health Congress will feature up to 2,000 attendees from over 50 countries and up to 100 exhibitors and sponsors.
What:
The World Medical Tourism and Global Health Congress is giving back, by partnering with Operation Smile as the official conference charity. A portion of every registration will be donated to Operation Smile during the 2009 conference. All delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about Operation Smile, volunteer for some of our missions, and donate on the spot to Operation Smile during a special presentation during Tuesday night’s cocktail hour.
When:

Why:
Around the world, 200,000 children are born each year with a facial deformity. Today, tens of thousands remain untreated. Facial deformities are often life-threatening and emotionally traumatizing: many children are unable to eat or speak; some are even kept out of school.
Tickets:
Participants can register ahead of time, online, to attend the conference. On Site Registration will be available and will be subject to a 25% additional surcharge to the pricing after June 1st. On Site Registrations are not guaranteed availability.
