I created my fundraising page in an effort to raise money for an amazing organization called Operation Smile!
Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. Many of these children are unable to receive the medical care they need because it is too costly, far away, or too specialized. Being born with a cleft condition can be fatal. If a child survives, they may face speech difficulties, poor self esteem, social connection issues, and experience bullying.
One of those children was my amazing cousin Christopher. Christopher was adopted from China with stage 3 cleft lip and palate. My Aunt and Uncle were able to provide him the life changing resources and surgery, but so many families around the world aren't as fortunate.
