I will be running a marathon
On the 30th September I will be running a marathon around Leeds in support of my friend and colleague, Rob Haughton. Running a marathon is a significant challenge for me, and will be my first time attempting even close to this distance.
Rob on the other hand will be running 7 marathons in 7 days, with the run on the 30th being his final.
Colleagues across the country will also be taking on their own challenges, all to raise money for the incredible charity - Operation Smile.
Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. Many of these children are unable to receive the medical care they need because it is too costly, far away, or too specialized. Because of this, being born with a cleft condition can be fatal. If a child survives, they may face bullying and social isolation.
Operation Smile creates solutions that deliver safe surgery to people where it?s needed most. Will you help me bring hope and new smiles to children suffering from facial deformities by supporting my fundraising goal?
For as little as $240 and in as few as 45 minutes, Operation Smile can provide life-changing surgery ? and renewed hope ? for children around the world. Please, consider making your tax-deductible gift today.
