This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Shamrock marathon, the 40th anniversary of Operation Smile, and the 15th year that Operation Smile has partnered with J&A Racing to host the Operation Smile Shamrock Final Mile! This is a milestone year to say the very least!
Operation Smile has runners participating in all of the Shamrock races this year on our first ever "Miles for Smiles" running team. There are runners supporting us in the Final Mile, 8k, Half Marathon, and the Full Marathon. The goal of our runners is to raise $40,000 to help provide safe surgical care to children who are growing up in developing countries with cleft lip and/or cleft palate.
Operation Smile's patients often have great difficulty eating, drinking, speaking and breathing. They are also often times ostracized from their communities because of the way they look. Every $240 that we raise helps provide a child with a LIFE CHANGING surgery. Please consider making a donation today and help our Miles For Smiles running team reach their $40,000 goal. If they succeed in their goal then the lives of 166 children will be changed forever!
