Join us as Operation Smile student volunteers provide meals for the health care professionals working tirelessly on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your donation on this page will nurture communities across the U.S. and beyond in three important ways: It will support local restaurants, it will show appreciation for local health care workers, and it will empower Operation Smile student volunteers.
This initiative, Serving Smiles, launched April 9 as Operation Smile student volunteers delivered nearly a hundred lunch meals to employees at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk and Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
We have challenged our student groups and are now expanding into the following areas: New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Utah and California.
During each delivery, students practice social distancing and take all the necessary safety precautions.
“We are supporting local restaurants by purchasing dozens of meals. We are supporting hospital employees by offering them those meals," said Kathy Magee, Co-Founder and President of Operation Smile. “We’ve already donated thousands of masks, gloves and gowns to area hospitals. Serving Smiles is just another way for us to support our community and to say, 'Thank you,'” Magee added.
If you are donating on behalf of a student or area, please leave a note telling us the student's name and/or the state! We would love to keep track of the impact students are making in their local community.
