Hi everybody! This year I’d like to once again raise money to help children with cleft lip and cleft palate.
A little bit about me… I’ve been playing lacrosse since I’m 6 years old. It’s become a huge piece of me, who I am and who I’m becoming. I’ve had the glory of winning and the pain of losing but I’ve learned that you learn the most with the losses! That being said, I’d like in some way to make a difference doing the thing that I love. I’d like to help kids in need. Specifically those born with cleft lip and cleft palate. This is a life changing and transformative surgery that will help build their confidence and will more importantly help them with the basic task of drinking and eating. For my confirmation service project I was able to raise enough money to provide 7 children with this life changing surgery. I would like to try to help at least 20 children this time around. The cost of one surgery is 240$. You can make a one time donation for any amount OR you can choose to sponsor my performance playing lacrosse for my junior high school season. You can choose to pick an amount per point I score. For example, if I score 10 points for the season and you want to donate 10$ per point, I would contact you at the end of the season with the total amount of 100$. Please consider helping these children out and I will work hard on the field for them too! If you’d like to take a chance and donate per point please email me at sgrober27@gmail.com or simply reply to this email so I can keep in touch with you on my progress.  Please see below for more information about Operation Smile.

I created my Smile Fund to raise money for Operation Smile – a global medical nonprofit organization that provides free surgeries for children around the world born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.

Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate – and many families can't afford the surgery they desperately need. In many places, children with cleft conditions are abandoned or abused. Many times they have trouble eating and drinking and can struggle to survive. Those that do can face a lifetime of shame and torment.

They need our help.

Will you help me bring hope and new smiles to children suffering from facial deformities by supporting my fundraising goal?

For as little as $240 and in as few as 45 minutes, Operation Smile can provide life-changing surgery – and renewed hope – for children around the world. Please, consider making your tax-deductible gift today.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND SUPPORTING ME TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD!

Welcome to My Smile Fund

I had the great opportunity to bike through Malawi last year and I fell in love with the children. I saw many kids being bullied because of their cleft lips, and many don’t go to school. I hope to raise awareness and funds for Operation Smile so that no child ever gets bullied for their facial deformity.

Please spread the word about my Smile Fund. I will be biking from New York to Virginia for two weeks to raise money for Operation Smile. I will share pictures and stories on this page!

Please donate to my Smile Fund -- anything you can give is a huge help.
