Justin Outling

Justin Outling is a member of Greensboro City Council, representing District Three. Justin is also an attorney in Greensboro at Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, L.L.P., practicing in business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. He is an alumna of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as the Duke University School of Law. Prior to joining Brooks Pierce, Justin was a lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton L.L.P. in New York City, where he represented financial institutions and multi-national corporations in securities and other complex litigation, as well as criminal and regulatory matters. In addition to his public service on Greensboro City Council and his work as an attorney, Justin serves on a number of local boards, including the boards of Triad Stage, Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, Elsewhere, and the UNCG Board of Visitors.

I am very excited to support Operation Smile. I learned about the organization through my friend and colleague, who serves on the organization’s regional board of directors. From my conversations with my colleague, as well as from my work in the community, I’ve seen the products of the organization’s work to forever improve the health and lives of children. It is a blessing to get an opportunity to contribute to its further success and to the happiness it brings to those in need.

About Operation Smile

Operation Smile is an international medical charity whose global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from over 80 countries is committed to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 60 countries. Since 1982, we've worked with local medical professionals, governments, hospitals and other NGOs to deliver the safest care to each of our patients, and have established care centers wherever possible to give children ongoing medical treatment.

Operation Smile continues to provide training and education for local medical professionals so they can provide care within their own communities and share their expertise. To date, we have provided more than 220,000 free surgeries for children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
