The crew on S/V Electric Leopard
This is the crew of the sailboat Electric Leopard, who first encountered the Kuna family whose young child had a cleft lip.
L-R:
Jim Eddy, Commodore of the Emeryville Yacht Club
Chuck Monark, Captain of the Electric Leopard
Don Lorenzo, crewman
James Fahlbusch, crewman
A few weeks after meeting this child, Larry and James made it their mission to somehow locate this child again and get him the surgery he needed. All of the crewmembers in this photo have also made substantial financial contributions to the mission.
The Stockards on S/V Legacy
Chris and Heather Stockard were the sailors who ultimately located our Kuna family again, now living on the island of Niadup, 17 miles from where Electric Leopard first met them.
This photo was taken by Chris Stockard on Naidup, the day before they got the radio message that we were searching for this child.
At photo left is German Jimenez, the "Congresso Secretary" (local chief) on Niadup. Heather is the lady with the hat in the photo, pictured with some of the other children on the island.
You can view the Stockard's story on their web page at:

The Andersons on S/V Alaya
Bob and Debbie Anderson answered our radio call for help, and sailed to the island where we were first searching for the child, only to find that island now abandoned. However, together with the Bergstroms on S/V Tara Vana, the Andersons found out from nearby Kuna where the family had moved to, and helped in a new radio relay to sailboats near the new location of the family.
You can read their story on their web page at:

The Letts on S/V Passat II
Barrie and Sandra Letts on the sailboat Passat II also helped in the radio relay search for our Kuna child.
They have a blog you can view at:

The Bergstroms on S/V Tara Vana
Rick and Ami Bergstrom answered our radio call for help, and sailed to the island where we were first searching for the child, only to find that island now abandoned. However, together with the Andersons on S/V Alaya, the Bergstroms found out from nearby Kuna where the family had moved to, and helped in a new radio relay to sailboats near the new location of the family.
The Bergstroms have a sailing blog that you can view at:

The Beilans on S/V Infini
Bob and Susan Beilan helped out with the radio relay in the search. They have a blog that you may view at:

Randy Catlin, formerly of S/V Nighthawk
Randy provided us with the keys to radio relay communications by email/sailmail, and helped kick off the search for boats in the area.
Ted Gosstyla, formerly of S/V Asanagi
Ted took our story and posted it to Cruiser's Forum, which helped generate interest in the search.
