Muddy Smiles - Running Through Mud to help create smiles.

Strength and courage comes in all shapes and sizes. Something we have come to know by one child. This one child was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate but never stopped smiling. Nicholas Alexander Diaz opened up our hearts and eyes to a worldwide organization called Operation Smile. This non-profit group provides free surgeries to children around the world that are born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Nicholas is nearing his 3rd birthday and has gone through four surgeries. Throughout all of them he has toughed them out, smiled, laughed, and really shown us that we can survive life's hardest obstacles. My wife and I have recently started getting into what is called," Mud Runs". These are a series of races throughout the entire year where you run, swim, climb over obstacles, and of course go through lots and lots of mud. Doing these races takes courage and strength. Something as said before we saw in our nephew. Now we want to give back to all the kids around the world that have these conditions. One out of every ten children that is born with this condition will die because they are not able to eat correctly and not receive enough nutrition. We want that to stop! We want to try and raise enough money year round to be able to constantly give children that opportunity to eat, and breathe correctly. Come help us get in the mud and continue offering these children a chance to smile.M
